Growing up on a farm in Erda, Utah taught me the value of hard work, tenacity, and integrity. These attributes have shaped my life. In high school, although I was undersized, I captained my football team's offensive and defensive lines and garnered all region and all state honors. I also dedicated myself to my studies, graduating second in my high school class, earning full tuition academic scholarships, and receiving Magna Cum Laude honors at BYU and Baylor Law School.
