Christopher Stanfield was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1984. He graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2006. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2011. He became a member of the Alabama State Bar in 2011.
