5 Questions Answered
- Q. My daughter was in an accident, 3 weeks ago, her lawyer is stating that medical costs being left open is not a thing.
- A: Unfortunately, this appears to be a case where there is not enough insurance to cover all losses. This happens more often than not. Your attorney should be able to get the medical bills negotiated down to leave her with some funds.
Once you settle a case, you cannot go back and ask for more should something arise in the future. Does your daughter have uninsured motorist coverage on her vehicle? This may provide her with some additional coverage for her claims.
- Q. I have had 3 auto accidents in the last 2.5 years. The last two I was not at fault, and the first going to court over
- A: I am so sorry you are going through this. It can be difficult to distinguish injuries from accidents that are so close in time. This is not something you can do on your own, you will need an experienced attorney who can help you sort through the medical records and the injuries suffered from each. I would be happy to speak to you at no charge. 770-644-2378.
- Q. can a witness also watch and listen to trial as it takes place
- A: I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure this has been very difficult. Unfortunately, sequestration of witnesses is a normal practice. It is designed to illicit truthful testimony that has not been swayed by the testimony of other witnesses. Ultimately, it is up to the judge.
I hope this helps.
