In June, 1989, I was appointed an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. While an assistant prosecutor, I tried over 150 cases to verdict and was assigned to the office’s Special Narcotics Unit, prosecuting mid to upper level drug traffickers. In 1997, I was promoted to the position of Chief of the Narcotics Unit, a position I held until leaving the office in August, 2000.
