I retired from the Air Force in the grade of colonel after having served 29 1/2 years active duty. I was a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels. My first passion is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. My other passion is to continue what I did while on active duty - caring about and caring for servicemembers, federal civil servants and families -- whether still serving or in retirement -- in honor of their contributions to our nation.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and completed my undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I also earned a Master's in Public Administration. I later graduated with a Juris Doctor Degree from Syracuse University College of Law. I am licensed to practice law in both Texas and New York, including their Federal Courts, and I am also admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court.
