I am the President of Hillsboro Law Group PC, an Oregon law firm dedicated to helping clients find long-term solutions to difficult legal issues. My practice focuses on family law and wills, trusts, and estates.

I graduated from Warner Pacific College, and then graduated in the top half of my class at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in 1992. I have practiced family law since early 1993, and have been at the same location, 150 SE 80th Avenue for over 20 years. My office is located in the historic Montavilla neighborhood of Southeast Portland, bordering on Northeast Portland and in the shadow of Mt. Tabor.

As a family law practitioner, I am motivated by helping people through complex and emotionally difficult legal situations. I work with each client to define their goals and then provide an effective strategy well supported in the law to achieve those objectives. I have worked as an attorney in Washington County since 1991. I received my Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1990, and a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, degree from Whitman College in 1987. I was on the Board of Directors of the Washington County Bar Association and am a past president of that organization. I am a member of the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section. Joel’s practice experience includes all aspects of family law; dissolution of marriage, unmarried custody and parenting time, custody modifications and enforcement, third party custody; guardianships and domestic violence.

Jeff’s practice is primarily family law and criminal defense. He enjoys complex family law cases, involving businesses and other complicated scenarios. He has also done work in construction defect cases. Jeff especially enjoys helping people to clean up their criminal record through vacations/expungements and restoring rights to buy firearms.
In addition to helping establish compliance procedures for highly regulated industries, he is also certified in Collaborative Law. Jeff is an avid believer in alternative dispute resolution, due to its low-conflict approach to settling a dispute outside of the courtroom, and the benefits it serves to all parties involved.

Michael S. Evans has been licensed to practice law in Oregon since 1985. He has handled a wide range of family law cases, as well as many matters involving business litigation. His knowledge of family law and business law has given him a unique perspective on how to handle the financial aspects of family law matters. Mr. Evans also has extensive experience in interstate child custody disputes. He has presented on various topics to the legal community, including child support, property division, prenuptial agreements, and more. Nathan Holtey has been practicing law for over ten years. Raised in Ashland, OR, Nathan attended Tufts University in Boston, MA, before coming back to Oregon and attending the University of Oregon School of Law. Nathan enjoys the practice of law and assisting clients with achieving excellent results. He focuses his practice on family law and criminal defense, and has handled every type of matter from 24 hour notice Restraining Order and Emergency Custody hearings to high asset divorces involving multiple businesses, spousal support, and complex property division.

Attorney Lindsay Soto in a native Oregonian and graduated in 1998 in the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon with BS Political Science. Lindsay then attended Howard University School of Law which he graduated Cum Laude in 2002 and started working for a small firm for 3 years. On 2005, he established his own law firm, The law office of Lindsay Soto which provides legal assistance in Salem Oregon which includes Family Law, Divorce and Juvenile Law. Lesley V. Herring is a native of Louisiana who moved to Portland, Oregon in 2011.
