I am certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law, Business Litigation Law and Civil Trial Law and my practice is primarily in these areas of the law. I also am certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator. I am author of Chapter One "Introduction" and Chapter Eleven "Delays" of the Florida Bar's Continuing Legal Education manual FLORIDA CONSTRUCTION LAW AND PRACTICE (9th Edition- 2021) and have been a presenter at numerous construction law seminars.

As a Board Certified Specialist in Construction Law, John's practice is devoted to State and Federal construction litigation, including administrative legal representation to licensed contractors. John is also a Certified Instructor by the State of Florida, Construction Industry Licensing Board. John represents owners, contractors, design professionals, subcontractors and sureties in complex, multi-party construction litigation and arbitration. John has mediated, litigated and arbitrated various construction related matters throughout the state, including construction defect and design claims, lien/bond claims, differing site conditions claims and delay claims.

Doug handles a variety of real property issues, primarily construction related negotiations and disputes representing public and private owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties, architects, engineers, and insurers. He has negotiated and litigated the full spectrum of any project, from land use, zoning, and permitting to initial contract negotiations, bid protests, contemporaneous contract administration, change order disputes, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

Mr. Schatt was born in Ocala, Florida in 1974. He attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences in 1996. Mr. Schatt also attended the University of Florida College of Law from which he obtained a Juris Doctorate. Marshall Schaap was born and raised in Ocala, FL, as were several generations of his family before him. Brian developed an interest in construction while working for the United States Army Corps of Engineers in law school and has practiced in construction law exclusively since graduating from law school 23 years ago. Michael LeRoy is a Missouri native, born in the city of Independence. In 1989, Michael LeRoy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Nebraska.
