1 Questions Answered
- Q. Can an insurance adjuster deny paying a claim after their remediation company demo'd 3 rooms of our house?
- A: There is not enough information in the fact pattern to fully answer this question. Generally, an insurer may not engage in major demo work without obtaining written permission from the insured unless there is a specific reason (like an emergency) for it. Further, an insurer must have proof to deny a claim on the basis of long term seepage or leakage which has occured over a period of "weeks, months, or years." So we need more information to evaluate the basis of the denial. Please feel free to call the office with any further questions. RH
