Skill Effort Strategy & Wisdom
My practice is focused on cases that require my individual attention, through analysis of my clients facts, and then using my skill, effort, strategy and wisdom to work with my client to obtain the best results.
I do not do a high volume of cases. Instead I like to work with my clients on a one on one basis so that I can help them in a difficult time in their life. I cannot do this is I and handling 10 cases in Court day, or am 3 weeks behind on returning client's phone calls.
Instead I work with my clients on a individual basis to maximize their case. I exert whatever effort is necessary. I approach each case individually, research the current law, and prepare the case based on the current law -- not some computer driven form. I use my extensive experience and the wisdom I have acquired to promote my client's case.
If we have to go to court, I try to prepare long in advance and educate my client on issues that are going be presented in Court and the issues the Judge will be deciding. I work with my client to help my client become an effective sales person for their own case.
I am well respected by the Judges. Not because I am their buddy, but because I am prepared.
Most of the time Judges try to do the right thing. However, Judges are human, and if I think they are making a mistake I am not hesitant to tell them, nicely, that they are in error -- and try to give them the legal reasons why they should resolve the issues in my client's favor. And if the Judge is in error I do not mind appealing the case to the Court of Appeals.

Rates, Retainers and Additional Information
My fees tend to be on the upper end of the scale. I charge by the hour. I do not take flat fee cases. The total fee is usually determined by my client's facts, the complexity of the facts, the complexity of the legal issues presented, the opposing party's resistance, the opposing attorney's resistance, and whether the case settles early, at mediation or if necessary, if it is tried.
