I have had a varied practice over the years. My principal practice now is divided between business litigation; criminal law; immigration deportation; domestice relations; and personal injury cases. I also assist clients with inventions to find financing for their inventions. I am primarily interested in energy production and desalinization projects. I work out of a home office because I like being on the water.

I am a former 1st chair Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County, Texas, District Attorney's office Public Integrity and Cyber Crimes Division with extensive experience in internet crimes against children, such as online solicitation of a minor and possession of child pornography, crimes committed by public servants, elected officials, government employees, and offenders having a professional license. As a prosecutor, I obtained a landmark sentence against a child predator. Charles L. Scalise was born in Hampton, Iowa. Mr. Scalise received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 1985, and his juris doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1988. While attending the University of Iowa College of Law, he was published in the Iowa Law Review and later served as an Associate Manager Editor for that journal. Mr. Scalise practices civil litigation with an emphasis on employment law.
