After receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University in 1979, I moved to Dallas to attend law school. I obtained my law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1982. I was in private practice until I joined the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office in 1985. I was assigned to the newly formed juvenile division in 1988, becoming the supervising attorney in 1995, and remained there until 2008 when I returned to private practice. The focus of my practice remains juvenile law.

Ms. Forehand is proud to be a sixth generation Texan. While her family’s military service made for a mobile childhood, the DFW metroplex has been her home for more than ten years and is where she received her post-secondary education, first as a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and then at Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth. Buffie Campbell is a highly skilled attorney practicing in the areas of oil and gas, real estate and estate planning/probate. Through her firm Campbell & Castillo, she provides title opinions and abstracts to oil and gas companies all throughout Texas.
