Barrett comes from a family that has long been a part of the East Texas area. Barrett was born and raised in Tyler. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and played catcher for the school’s baseball team. After high school, Barrett attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Sociology as well as a minor in Business. Right after graduating from Texas A&M, Barrett attended South Texas College of Law. After receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University in 1979, I moved to Dallas to attend law school. I obtained my law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1982. I was in private practice until I joined the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office in 1985. I was assigned to the newly formed juvenile division in 1988, becoming the supervising attorney in 1995, and remained there until 2008 when I returned to private practice. The focus of my practice remains juvenile law.

I'm the managing attorney for the Dallas office of RMO LLP, a firm dedicated solely to probate litigation. We represent heirs, beneficiaries, trustees, executors, guardians, and other parties interested (or embroiled) in probate disputes. We leverage our expertise and experience to provide premium services and cost-effective solutions to clients mired in difficult, stressful circumstances.

Ms. Forehand is proud to be a sixth generation Texan. While her family’s military service made for a mobile childhood, the DFW metroplex has been her home for more than ten years and is where she received her post-secondary education, first as a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and then at Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth.
