I assist families with obtaining guardianships, conservatorships and name changes. I also represent clients in probate administration, negotiating the transfer of real estate, contested will litigation and special needs planning.

I handle matters relating to special education law including mediation, appearing before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals, and helping to secure educational placements.

During my career I have made thousands of court appearances and have substantial experience probating estates, representing people charged with crimes, people buying and selling real estate, and people going through a divorce. Mr. Borchers has been a trust and estates lawyer since 1984 and formed Northeast Private Trustees service in 2019. The corporate trustee serves as a fiduciary and can direct but does not manage investments.
