Marcus grew up in Salem, Oregon, watching his father, Marc Gunn, and grandfather, Robert Gunn, working as criminal defense attorneys. Marcus decided to continue the family legacy by receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy in 2018 from Brigham Young University and his J.D. from the Willamette University College of Law in 2021.
