He attended law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He started his own law practice straight out of law school focusing on divorce and custody of minor children. He also served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 18 years with service on active duty in the United States and Iraq. He is married to Elizabeth and has two daughters.

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 20, 1963 and have been a life-long resident of Oklahoma City. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years and raised three children with her. After attending the University of Oklahoma (B.B.A. 1985 in Finance), I attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where I earned my J.D. in1988.
