Gary Stout was born in 1958 in Greensboro, NC. He attended college as well as Law School at the University of Tulsa, earning a Juris Doctor Degree in 1989. After passing the Oklahoma Bar Exam, he entered military service as a Judge Advocate in 1989. His assignments included the 82nd Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps. I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, the son of a Judge and a schoolteacher. They taught me the importance of justice and compassion. My grandfather, who worked for Bender Shipping, taught me at an early age that "If you tell someone you are going to do something, do it" and "If you work for someone, you give them 110 percent." Over my life, I have worked hard to apply these lessons.

Upon graduating from law school, George joined the FBI as a Special Agent. He spent time in Washington, D.C. and Omaha, Nebraska before being transfered to Waterloo, Iowa. Covering a range of eleven counties, George investigated crimes ranging from bank robberies to military deserters. He also spent time in Cleveland, Ohio, before returning to Huntsville in 1972. George still has strong ties to the FBI as a member of the Former FBI Agents organization. Outside of work, George, his wife Lynda, and their three children and six grandchildren all attend First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville.
