Jenny was born and raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She attended Center College for undergraduate studies, where she graduated with a B.A. in International Studies. After college, Jenny spent a year in Japan teaching English through the JET Programme. When she returned, she started from the ground-up in the legal field, performing duties as a file clerk for an insurance defense firm before attending law school, then later served as a law clerk for the same firm in Louisville, Kentucky.
