I graduated Cum Laude from Washburn Law School in 2003. During law school, I participated in Law Journal, Moot Court, and Law Clinic. I set for and passed the Kansas bar in the summer of 2003 and then I took and passed the Missouri bar in 2004. Directly after law school, I had the honor of working directly with the late Judge Elliott of the Kansas Court of Appeals as a research attorney. I then worked briefly with a local attorney in Lawrence, prior to starting my own practice in November of 2005.

David and his wife Anna live in Olathe, KS with their two children, Kelyn and Vivian, whom they have homeschooled since kindergarten. The family is active in their local church, Countryside Baptist, and enjoys practicing Tae Kwon Do, having earned their first degree black belts together in 2013.

I began my career as a general civil litigator at a small, well respected Topeka law firm where I represented clients in real estate, business, personal injury, and contract litigation. I am a consumer bankruptcy attorney. I was previously located in Baldwin City, KS but in August of 2017 we relocated to our new office in Ottawa.
