I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1978 and have been a member of the District of Columbia Bar since 1979 and of the Florida Bar since 1984. I am a sole practitioner and handle all family and marital matters, including divorce, modification of divorce decrees, child custody, paternity, relative adoptions, and appeals involving family law matters. As a former Navy Judge Advocate General, I am very experienced in military divorces and won a case of first impression before the Florida Supreme Court in regard to military retirement benefits.

Mr. Aylstock earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of North Florida in 1992 (magna cum laude), and graduated number one in his law school section at the University of Florida in May, 1995. During law school, Mr. Aylstock was both an associate and a senior editor of the Florida Law Review publishing an article on the case of Fabre v. Marin, 623 So.2d 1182 (Fla. 1993), one of most significant cases to affect the area of personal injury law in Florida over the past ten years. Mr. Mitchell is admitted to the State Bars of Florida and Montana, as well as numerous federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Throughout his 50 years of practice, he has recovered substantial awards for his clients, including multi-million dollar settlements and trial verdicts. His closing arguments and opening statements have been published in several legal treatises, including Closing Argument, the Art and the Law by Jacob A. Stein and The Art of Advocacy- Opening Statements by Leonard Decof.
