My firm is located in Nottoway County (Southside Virginia). I have15 years of experience in criminal law, family law, and personal injury. My past criminal representation involves serious crimes, such as murder, malicious wounding, embezzlement, grand larceny, and rape (less serious crimes would be DUI and Reckless Driving). I have also represented numerous clients in car accident cases, as well as, medical malpractice.

Van’s practice is dedicated to criminal traffic defense. He has been an outspoken critic of Reckless Driving by Speed laws as applied in Virginia, and he stridently opposes the imposition of any “mandatory minimum” prison time for alcohol-related and other substance offenses.
