I began my career as a legal administrator for a Chapter 13 bankruptcy trustee. That experience required me to evaluate cases and claims from the perspective of a court neutral and examine the strengths and weaknesses of the respective positions of the multiple parties to a bankruptcy proceeding. It also required me to develop an in-depth knowledge of how cases proceed when they are governed almost exclusively by a complex statutory scheme. Jaymie Sabilia-Heffert is an attorney at Sanders Law Group and is a member of the firm’s Copyright Infringement team. She is an experienced civil litigation attorney, with diverse knowledge and experience in a wide range of legal fields, including complex construction litigation, business disputes, and administrative appeals. She has experience litigating matters in both state and federal courts. Jaymie earned her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in New York and is admitted in New York State, the Northern District of New York, and the Southern District of New York.

Prior to Monroe County, my experience includes the following: private practice in the State of Maryland, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the firm of Clegg and Kaplan in Kingston, New York. Larita Yusuf is an experienced litigator and a registered patent attorney. As an intellectual property attorney, she has helped creators secure design patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the African Regional Intellectual Property Office (ARIPO) and their original works with the U.S. Copyright Office. Jacqueline Mandel is an attorney at Sanders Law Group and is a member of the Copyright Infringement team. Marian Quintero has represented award-winning photographers and business owners in intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark issues. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2022, where she also received a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, she served as Vice President of Financial Affairs for the Moot Court Honor Society and externed for Judge Barbara Areces in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
