I was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, but I have lived most of my life in North Alabama. I am proud to call Alabama home. I graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, where I was a member of the National ATLA Trial Team and the National Civil Trial Competition Team. I also received the George Peach Taylor Award for Trial Advocacy and the American Judicature Society Award.

Upon graduating from law school, George joined the FBI as a Special Agent. He spent time in Washington, D.C. and Omaha, Nebraska before being transfered to Waterloo, Iowa. Covering a range of eleven counties, George investigated crimes ranging from bank robberies to military deserters. He also spent time in Cleveland, Ohio, before returning to Huntsville in 1972.
