Thomas J. Curcio
Personal injury trial lawyer
I am Thomas Curcio, the founder of Curcio Law, and I have dedicated over 40 years as a personal injury trial lawyer in Northern Virginia. Throughout my career, I have committed myself to representing individuals who have been seriously injured through no fault of their own. I work tirelessly to secure rightful compensation for my clients, helping them to rebuild their lives with dignity.
My practice primarily deals with cases involving serious injuries or fatalities from car, pedestrian, motorcycle, bicycle, and truck crashes, as well as injuries caused by dog attacks, unsafe products, and unsafe premises.
Additionally, I am actively engaged in the legal community. I have served as president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) and have been a member of its Board for over 30 years. I frequently speak and write on topics related to personal injury, trial practice, and evidence gathering.
Cases:
$2,000,000: Bus Accident- In downtown Washington, D.C., our client was crossing the street when a bus ran over his foot. He sustained significant injuries requiring surgery. Following the procedure, he developed serious health complications that extended his recovery and impacted his long-term mobility and quality of life.
$2,000,000: Product Liability- n a single-vehicle accident, our client’s vehicle struck a roadside safety device that failed to perform as intended, resulting in a fatal crash. A product liability and wrongful death claim was filed against the manufacturer, alleging the device's defective design and failure caused the death.
$1,900,000: Pedestrian Accident- A woman was struck by a delivery truck while walking in a crosswalk in Old Town Alexandria. The driver failed to see her while turning and continued forward, trapping her under the truck until a bystander intervened. Although initially found not guilty of reckless driving, dash cam footage later confirmed she was clearly in the crosswalk.
