I am an experienced (30 years) personal injury lawyer who is dedicated to the practice of law and to my clients. While most cases resolve before trial, we aggressively prepare all of our cases so that, if a favorable settlement cannot be obtained, we are ready to go on the offensive from the beginning of the litigation process until its conclusion. We handle personal injury and accident cases (automobile, bicycle, pedestrian, dog bites, slip and fall) in all areas of Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia, in both state and federal courts.
As a small firm, we're able to give your case the personal attention it deserves. My team and I will handle your case from start to finish, and -- unlike many Washington, DC personal injury lawyers at large firms -- you'll never be passed off to a law clerk or a paralegal. All of our clients have my cell phone number. That personalized attention is one reason I have been named a top personal injury attorney by Washingtonian Magazine 9 times. Most recently, I was honored to be included by Washingtonian Magazine in the "top lawyers hall of fame." Additionally, I was awarded the prestigious 'AV' rating from Martindale-Hubbell -- their highest possible rating for legal ability and ethics. I also have a 10.0/10.0 (superb) rating from Avvo.com, a professional review site for attorneys and doctors. Not that all of this isn't important, but nothing is more important than reviews. Please read my reviews on Google and Avvo.
We're located in downtown Washington, DC, one block from the Metro, and would be happy to to discuss your case. Initial consultations are free. Call us at 866-463-0303.

- A: If you want some direction, you will need to provide more information. Most importantly, what type of incident was it?
- Q. If I had a tire rotation recently (a month ago) then the tire is almost falling off a month later do I have a case ?
- A: I'm glad you weren't hurt! I had a wheel come off of my car while I was going 40 mph! Fortunately I wasn't hurt.
Regarding your question, almost certainly not. You would need to prove that you suffered damages (physical injuries and/or economic damages) AND that the big chain caused the problem. I'm sure it seems open and shut, but it's not. For example, a lot of people had access to your vehicle after it was repaired, and before you heard the vicious knocking. It doesn't matter what you think or what you know - only what you can prove!
- Q. I was turning right at an intersection + a truck was driving on my right, in a location marked as a city bus stop. I had
- A: I agree with Mr. Scherr's assessment. Additionally, you may be barred from any recovery from the truck's insurer (for both property damage and any injuries you may have suffered) due to contributory negligence. You stated that the truck was "driving" and not stopped. If you contributed to the collision, even if the truck was improperly in the bus lane, you may not have a claim. There are a lot of moving parts, and you would need to provide additional information to an attorney to get a definitive assessment.
