Sharon M. Ramage
The Ramage Law Group
Throughout her professional life, Sharon Ramage has been devoted to aiding families and children alike. Initially as a social worker, she observed the harrowing effects conflict had on kids and their relatives. Subsequently in 1992, she dedicated her legal services to providing assistance for those who needed it most; focusing primarily but not exclusively on family law matters along with special education cases.
From 1992 to 1997, Sharon worked as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Tarrant County. She particularly served the Crimes Against Children Division from 1995-1997. In 1997, she opened a private practice and since then has been dedicatedly representing her clients as they go through changes within their family while always prioritizing what's best for their children. Additionally, being an adoptive parent herself, Sharon also passionately assists couples growing families with both foreign and domestic adoptions.
Sharon's passion lies in aiding families with disabled children to acquire the services they are entitled to. For a dozen years, she served as a Special Education Hearing Officer and Mediator for the Texas Education Agency, arbitrating special education disputes between schools and parents. With her extensive knowledge of family law, Sharon is dedicated to representing these deserving families with unique needs.
Sharon, who co-authored All About Texas Law and Kids published by Texas Lawyer Press - a book about children and the law, is regularly sought out to educate lawyers on her expertise. She has had the honor of serving as faculty for both The National Academy for IDEA Administrative Law Judges & Hearing Officers and The National Administrative Judiciary Conferences where she lectured other professionals on special education law topics. Sharon also lectures frequently in local bar associations, parent groups, as well as disability organizations about matters concerning special education or family law.
