Renata A. Mizak

I am the Practice Leader of the Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Elder Law practice groups. I hold a certification as a Certified Elder Law Attorney from The National Elder Law Foundation, which is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of elder law.

Throughout nearly my entire legal career, I have dedicated myself to practicing exclusively in Estate & Tax Planning, Estate Administration, Estate and Trust Litigation, Elder Law & Care Planning, Medicaid, Guardianships, Special Needs, and Disability Law. I assist individuals in crafting customized estate plans that include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, all while minimizing estate taxation. My representation extends to:

- Executors and administrators in the administration of estates for deceased individuals,
- Trustees in the administration of trusts for grantors and beneficiaries,
- Fiduciaries under a Power of Attorney, Healthcare Directive, Guardianship, or Conservatorship, in understanding and fulfilling their legal and fiduciary duties,
- Beneficiaries of estates and trusts, in understanding their rights and interests, and
- Individuals who have been wronged and require representation as litigants.

For elderly clients, I provide assistance in establishing long-term care plans that include asset preservation, and I guide clients through the Medicaid application process. Additionally, I support individuals who are incapacitated or developmentally disabled, as well as those seeking to be appointed as Guardians for such individuals.
