Sorkin was admitted to the Florida bar in 1980. Although he practiced law and gaining valuable trial experience in Broward County as an assistant public defender, it was when dealing with family law that Mr. Sorkin felt he was providing an overlooked service, often needed by family members during a difficult time. It was a natural sequence of events that in 1991 Mr. Sorkin became a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, offering court-ordered and non-court ordered mediation. These mediation sessions are conducted with or without attorneys’ present. No matter the circumstances, Mr. Sorkin is known for making a challenging time a little easier for all those involved, and his ten-year association with the Dale Carnegie Institute gives him a qualified skillset that sets him apart and above, listening to his clients’ needs and objectively and expertly guiding them through some of the most stressful circumstances.
