Michelle A Winter
Michelle A. Winter left a career as a health professional in the early 1990’s to pursue a life-long dream of becoming an attorney. Upon graduating from Temple Law School in 1996, she worked two years as in house counsel with a major medical malpractice insurance firm. In early 1998, she opened her own law practice where she has focused on the needs of families and businesses in her community. Michelle’s practice currently encompasses several areas of law with a focus on Family Law, including adoptions, divorce, custody, support, Power of Attorney, Wills and Living Wills. The office also stays abreast of the new changes to the Bankruptcy law and assists clients in Chapter 7 bankruptcies and laws for DUI. Michelle has served on a Board Member for a Woman’s Group that addresses domestic abuse. She was counsel to a “back to work” government funded program out of Philadelphia and helped unemployed individuals in their effort to start new businesses (Incorporations and LLC’s) through the Women’s Opportunity Resource Center. Michelle taught classes on the differences between sole proprietorships and legal entities. Through this program, Michelle has incorporated over 600 businesses. Additionally, Michelle is counsel to hundreds of small businesses outside of the WORC program. Michelle is a graduate, with honors, from University of South Florida and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi before pursuing her career as a lawyer. At Temple Law School, Ms. Winter earned several class distinctions and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society where she competed in various competitions. She spends her free time restoring a family camp in the Adirondacks and traveling to Florida to visit with her grandchildren.
