Claimed Lawyer ProfileQ&ASocial Media

I am a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Boston University School of Law. During my career as an attorney, prior to my current solo practive, I have worked as a government regulatory trial attorney for the State Public Service Commission, an in house counsel for a Fortune 100 corporation, and as a partner or counsel for a several Albany and Syracuse based medium sized law firms. I am committed to helping people and small businesses with their legal problems at a reasonable, fixed "no surprises" rate not based on the common "hourly billing" model. I am also a founder, director, officer and counsel of The Mockingbird Foundation, a charity formed by Phish fans which supports music education for children, runs the website and has authored three books about Phish's performances, The Phish Companion series. Since it's founding in 1996, The Foundation has donated over $800,000 raised by its literary and online works to music education for underserved children. I am also a founder and officer of the Glens Falls Food Cooperative, a member-owned cooperative that distributes locally sourced organic food to its members at wholesale prices.

1 Questions Answered
Q. Is conspiracy to commit murder is the same charge as murder in nyc
A: No they are different charges, but the conspiracy charge is a lot easier to prove and the penalties for conspiracy may be as serious as murder (well, perhaps almost as serious, one or two felony classes below murder, perhaps the same as negligent homicide). For murder, you need a dead body and some evidence of culpability. For a conspiracy charge, all you need is evidence you planned a murder with someone and took one step towards accomplishing it, whether the murder actually occurred at all or was even attempted.
