Griffin O'Hanlon
Partner at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers
Griffin O’Hanlon joined Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers as an attorney in the fall of 2015. He attended Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake for his freshman and sophomore years, before his parents relocated to Illinois. He returned to Virginia to attend Virginia Tech, where he majored in history. Griff obtained his J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law with a concentration in civil litigation.
After law school, Griff returned to Hampton Roads, where he practiced criminal law at the Norfolk Public Defender’s Office and a local private firm before joining Cooper Hurley and has extensive in-court litigation experience. Griff and his wife Kelsey, a graduate of Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach who works as a speech therapist for the Virginia Beach Public Schools, now live in Virginia Beach with their 3 children. When he’s not working on his files, Griff can be found on the beach, golf course or cheering on Virginia Tech’s football team.
The cases he has litigated include that of a construction worker who was injured by a drunk driver. The case was settled for $150,000 at mediation, a $95,000 settlement for a man injured by a drunk driver on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and a $100,000 pre-suit settlement for a moped rider struck by a vehicle in Virginia Beach. Griff O'Hanlon specializes in suing drunk drivers. He is motivated to help people who are going through an extremely tough time in their lives.
