Eric Clayman

Eric Clayman is a criminal defense lawyer in Fort Lauderdale who has a background in both law enforcement and as a prosecutor. Mr. Clayman graduated from the Washtenaw County Police Academy with top honors in marksmanship, physical fitness, and defensive driving tactics. He began his legal career as a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.
In addition to a tenure as a certified police officer in Hamtramck, Michigan, Mr. Clayman also worked in the Broward County Public Defender’s Office and the Office of the Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel for the Fourth District. Mr. Clayman's extensive background gives him a unique understanding of the various issues that impact all kinds of criminal cases.
As a certified police officer, Mr. Clayman worked as a DUI Investigator and Narcotics Investigator in addition to handling auto theft investigations. In the Office of the Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel for the Fourth District, Mr. Clayman handled two felony courtrooms in Broward County, the Drug Court and the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence and Mental Health Court.
