Barbara Roher
Barbara is a veteran litigator and appellate attorney with extensive experience in state and federal courts and tribunals. She has developed a specialized civil litigation and appellate practice through twelve years of legal practice representing individuals, sole proprietors, corporations, limited liability companies, Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, hospitals, nursing homes, non-profit entities, state universities, public schools, manufacturers, insurance companies, law firms, construction companies, retail chains, restaurants, closely held corporations and professional employer organizations.
Barbara appears in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Bay, Ingham and Wasthenaw County trial courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDTC) , Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA), Workers' Compensation Agency, Social Security Administration, American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court and the federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Barbara is similarly experienced in arbitration, negotiation, facilitation and counseling. She has been invited to speak by groups such as the American Society of Employers, Lorman Education Services, and Eastern Michigan University. She has been a contributing author to the Wayne State Law Review Annual Survey of Employment and Labor Law and the Michigan Defense Quarterly.
