Barbara Queen, a Partner at LawrenceQueen, is a dedicated and dynamic attorney with 16 years of experience in employment law. Barbara earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University before graduating cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law. Early in her career, she secured prestigious internships with the New York Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.

Since joining Lisa Lawrence in 2002, Barbara has represented clients across various forums, including the Department of Health Professionals, Merit Systems Protection Board, U.S. District Court, Commonwealth of Virginia Court, EEOC Administrative Hearings, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Her outstanding legal acumen has earned her numerous accolades. In 2021, she was honored as Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by Cancer LINC for her commitment to supporting individuals facing the challenges of cancer. Additionally, Virginia Lawyers Weekly recognized her for securing a $3.7 million verdict in 2016, the 4th largest verdict in Virginia that year.
