I joined Hupy and Abraham in 2015 as an Associate Attorney. I became a shareholder in 2020. Prior to joining the firm, I spent four years as an insurance defense trial lawyer and have experience in Domestic Relations, Employment and Family Law. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, practicing yoga and running half-marathons.

I joined Hupy and Abraham in 2019 as an Associate Attorney to help injured clients. Before joining the firm, I practiced in family law, contract law, corporate law and more.

I have practiced workers' compensation in Iowa for twelve years. I only represent the injured workers, not big business or insurance companies. I have previously served on the Iowa Association for Justice Workers' Compensation Core Group and currently serve on the Board of Governors for the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Attorneys. I served as co-chair for two years for the Iowa Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee and I have given many presentations on workers' compensation topics to various bar associations or attorney groups. Jake Peters was born March 14, 1960 in Council Bluffs and is a fourth generation member of the Peters Law Firm in Council Bluffs. He began working full time for the firm in 1983 as a law clerk, joined as an associate in 1985, joined the firm as a partner in 1990 and has worked there continuously ever since. Jake's practice is currently confined primarily to Iowa Workers' Compensation Claims on behalf of the Claimant, but also handles claimant's cases in Nebraska. Worker’s Compensation Attorney Adrienne Sula joined Hupy and Abraham as an Associate Attorney in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, she spent ten years as a collection trial lawyer, and three years practicing corporate compliance law. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, performing with various blues musicians in the area, and spending time with her husband and children.
