I chose to practice law because I am driven by a desire to positively impact the lives of those who have been injured or harmed by others. Before I became an attorney, I worked as a direct care worker at a facility for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. I have practiced workers' compensation in Iowa for twelve years. I only represent the injured workers, not big business or insurance companies. I have previously served on the Iowa Association for Justice Workers' Compensation Core Group and currently serve on the Board of Governors for the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Attorneys. Jake Peters was born March 14, 1960 in Council Bluffs and is a fourth generation member of the Peters Law Firm in Council Bluffs.
