Sandy graduated with honors from Seattle University School of Law. During law school she was recognized as a quarterfinalist for the Moot Court Competition and received the top award in her Legal Writing II Class for best appellate brief. During her final semester of law school, Sandy externed with the Seattle City Attorney's Office with their Infractions Department. There she was responsible for negotiating with defense attorneys and representing the City in contested infraction cases.
