I grew up in the small town of Hallettsville, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Prior to law school I worked as a petroleum landman where I researched title to land for oil and gas companies. I continued to work as a landman during and after law school. My extensive knowledge in tracing mineral title and conducting genealogy research helped me make a natural transition into probate law and estate planning.

Joshua Tolin is an experienced military trial attorney at Veritas Military Law, who also serves in the Air Force Reserve as a Major (O-4) and Individual Mobilization Augmentee. As an active-duty Air Force JAG for more than 10 years, Joshua spent his entire active-duty career in military justice: first prosecuting at the United States Air Force Academy, CO, as a junior prosecutor, then as an Area Defense Counsel at Ellsworth AFB, SD. Joshua was then selected to continue defending Airmen, but this time during a one-year remote assignment, helping Airmen deployed throughout the CENTCOM AOR and the Horn of Africa....

I retired from the Air Force in the grade of colonel after having served 29 1/2 years active duty. I was a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels. My first passion is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. My other passion is to continue what I did while on active duty - caring about and caring for servicemembers, federal civil servants and families -- whether still serving or in retirement -- in honor of their contributions to our nation.

I am a former 1st chair Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County, Texas, District Attorney's office Public Integrity and Cyber Crimes Division with extensive experience in internet crimes against children, such as online solicitation of a minor and possession of child pornography, crimes committed by public servants, elected officials, government employees, and offenders having a professional license. As a prosecutor, I obtained a landmark sentence against a child predator.
