Joe Byars has over 25 years of experience in private practice. He began his practice in Dallas, Texas, handling business and employment law issues of all types. Since moving to his hometown of Fort Smith,Arkansas, his practice has focused on civil litigation, including personal injury law,employment law, and complex business litigation in many areas, including antitrust, and healthcare. Joe also handles estate planning, business transactions and regulatory issues.

Heather's law experience brings extensive real-world criminal and juvenile crime knowledge from spending nine years as a deputy prosecutor. She has expanded the Law Group's practice areas to include probate and estate planning, bankruptcy, and domestic relations. She is a proud University of Arkansas School of Law alumnae, who continues to donate more than 100 hours annually to coach the law school's Student Trial Advocacy Team.

I am an Arkansas native married to my high-school sweetheart and we have 4 wonderful, small children. I chose to focus on the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Guardianships, and Business Formation after my father passed away while I was in law school. Fortunately, because my parents had completed their estate planning, we, as a family, were able to focus on honoring my father’s memory rather than having to worry about my father’s property and his estate. This experience inspired me to be able to provide this same peace of mind to other families.

Laura maintains a focus on probate and estate planning in addition to real estate matters including deed preparation.

Laura is from central Arkansas and moved to Fayetteville eight years ago. Laura graduated from Bryant High School and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Florida. She received her law degree from the University of Arkansas Bowen School of Law.

Mary K. Walker practices primarily in the fields of agricultural law and civil litigation, including real estate and probate law. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law and is licensed in the state courts of Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, in four United States District Courts and in the federal Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. I am a general practice attorney handling mostly Family Law, such as Divorces, Custody, and related matters. I also practice probate including Estates, Guardianships and Adoptions. I thoroughly enjoy advocating for parents or grandparents trying to see that their children are taken care of.

I also advise clients in property matters ranging from inheritance to property interest or boundary disputes and do contracts to convey property.
