Amanda graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelors in Criminal Justice and a masters in Special Education from Cleveland State University. After graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Amanda passed both the Ohio and Michigan bar exams, and was admitted to practice law in both states. While attending law school, Amanda was a quarterfinalist in the renowned G. Mennon Williams Moot Court Competition and a member of the American Inns of Courts Program. Mr. Shaffer is a native of Steubenville,Ohio. He is married to Arlene B. Angel-Shaffer, Esq. who is currently retired. His daughter, Sarah and her husband are both Registered Nurses. They are the proud parents of three sons. His oldest son, Daniel is a student at Carlow Univerity and working at HVL Laboratories. His younger son, Joseph is currently serving in the United States Air Force.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio. Raised in Campbell, Ohio. Son of a union industrial painter.

Married with two children.

Sam earned his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2014, where he was nominated into the Order of Barristers for his outstanding work at the national Duberstein Moot Court Competition, was one of the four annual finalists of the Charles W. Fornoff Appellate Advocacy Competition, and represented the University of Toledo College of Law at the annual Ohio Attorney General’s Public Service Mock Trial Competition.
