I became a licensed attorney in 1990 and have practiced law in northeastern North Carolina ever since. I spent 20 years with a fine law firm, 15 of which as a partner. During that time I built a very successful practice, primarily focusing on criminal matters. I have represented thousands of people from all over the country with legal problems with good success and I have listened to their concerns and expectations.

I have been practicing law since 1995. I have handled Personal Injury cases, Medical Malpractice cases and Workers Compensation cases. I have argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and The North Carolina Supreme Court. Over the last several years, I have specialized in handling Social Security Disability cases. I have appealed these cases to Federal District Court and defended one these appeals before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. I have taught continuing legal education classes to other attorneys across the country on Social Security Disability.

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law who graduated in May 2023 with a Juris Doctor. During my time in law school, I was a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and also served as President of the USC school of law American Constitution Society.
