I became a licensed attorney in 1990 and have practiced law in northeastern North Carolina ever since. I spent 20 years with a fine law firm, 15 of which as a partner. During that time I built a very successful practice, primarily focusing on criminal matters. In 1981 Keith established this law firm in Elizabeth City, which still serves all of Northeastern North Carolina. From 1973 - 1981 served as Assistant District Attorney for the First Judicial District, covering seven counties.

I practice exclusively in the area of family law handling difficult child custody cases, complex equitable distribution matters, alimony, child support and prenuptial agreements. I am a board certified family law specialist and certified by the NC Dispute Resolution Commission as a Mediator.
