David Hostetler is a lawyer-educator. He is the founding director of Lex-is School Law Services (www.Lex-is.com). The firm specializes in education law, and represents a broad array of public charter and independent schools.

Mr. Hostetler also teaches educational law, policy, ethics, and leadership in Appalachian State University’s Leadership and Education Studies program. He has also taught as an adjunct professor for several North Carolina law and graduate education programs, using the humanities to teach principles of ethics and leadership.

I received my law degree from North Carolina Central University and now practice in Durham County and surrounding counties. I specialize in guardianship law, estate planning and real estate partitions. As a solo practitioner, I am the person who interacts with my clients, not a staff member.
