I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics from American University in Washington, D.C., and later received my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School. I also earned credits toward my law degree from New York Law School and Rutgers University Law School-Newark. In 1982, I was admitted to practice law in the United States District Court and all courts in the State of New Jersey.
