Mr. Shapiro attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and received his Bachelor’s degree in 1984 and his master’s degree in 1986. He graduated from Whittier College School of Law in 1990, Magna Cum Laude. He has practiced in family law since 1990 and has served as a Domestic Violence Commissioner, pro tempore, URESA/Paternity Hearing Master, Alternate, Municipal Court Judge, Alternate, Judicial Referee, Las Vegas Justice Court, Small Claims. The CARE Law Program assists seniors in the rural Nevada counties. We do not assist anyone in Washoe or Clark Counties. All clients must be 60 years or older. We do not handle litigation.

In 2004 argued the Hiibel case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Said case involved both the Fourth and Fifth Amendment. Also, qualified under Nevada Supreme Court Rule 250 to be lead counsel in death penalty cases. Experience in just about all phases of civil and criminal litigation, including fiduciary and bad faith litigation.
