My background is in criminal defense litigation as well as government and public interest civil litigation.

I graduated from the University of North Texas and the University of Kansas School of Law. With over 40 years of legal practice, I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a diverse array of cases, including simple automobile incidents, franchise disputes, and complex tort litigation. I hold licenses in both Kansas and Missouri state and federal courts, and my litigation experience extends across the United States. I am a lifelong resident of Kansas City. I attended Rockhurst High School, the University of Missouri-Columbia, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where I served as Literary Editor of the Law Review. Upon my graduation from law school, I spent one year as a judicial law clerk in Jackson County, Missouri and then spent several years at a prominent Kansas City litigation firm.
