I have represented people charged with criminal charges for over 20 years. In the last ten years, I have been at my own law firm. From 1990-2000, I was in the public defenders office. I represent people in Missouri and Illinois State Courts, Federal Court, and Municipal Court.

I have been practicing Domestic Relations law exclusively since 1984, in the counties of St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County and St. Charles County. I have taught seminars to other attorneys both statewide and in the St. Louis area, and have published a section in the current Missouri Bar Evidence Deskbook. I spend a significant amount of time representing children in Guardian ad Litem work, which gives me a unique perspective to the issues involved in divorce, paternity and custody cases. I have represented all the types of parties that can be involved in bankruptcy--creditors, debtors, family farmers in chapter 12, and creditors' committee in chapter 11. I was the first head of the Office of the U. S. Trustee in St. Louis (1988-93) and have served as a chapter 7 trustee from 2004 through the present. Erin graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. After graduation, Erin joined Reuter Law Firm, now known as Reuter Merkle Law Firm, as an associate attorney. She is a member of St. Catherine Laboure and involved in many organizations including: Heartland Industries, Inc.
