I have spent my entire legal career defending people who have been accused of crimes. I am an associate attorney with Groshek Law in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to moving to Minnesota, I ran a solo practice based out of Spartanburg, SC.

I have focused my practice exclusively on criminal defense. With experience in more than 30 jury trials, I have secured not guilty verdicts in cases ranging from assault, DWI, misdemeanor theft, felony theft, and domestic assault, to criminal sexual conduct, burglary, attempted murder, and criminal vehicular homicide.

Attorney James Teigland is a Moorhead native who graduated from Park Christian High School of Moorhead in 2006 and attended Minnesota State University Moorhead where he studied Economics until he graduated in 2010. Mr. Teigland attended William Mitchell College of Law from 2010-2013, and is licensed to practice in Minnesota and North Dakota.
