I have been practicing law since 1981,initially licensed in Washington D.C., subsequently in Maryland in 1982and in Virginia in 1984. I am also admitted in all Federal Courts DC, Maryland and Virginia.My primary focus is on legal collections and creditor's rights for financial institutions, including major Federal Credit Unions. Additionally, I possess substantial experience in handling creditor's rights in bankruptcy cases, specifically under Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and Chapter 7.

Ms. Maya P. Jefferson is an associate with Gilbert Employment Law, focusing on the representation of both federal and private sector employees involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as violations the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related state and local laws.
