James Clifford focuses his practice on employment law, commercial litigation, disability rights, and special education law and advocacy. He is admitted to the Maine and Massachusetts Bars, the U.S. District Courts in Maine and Massachusetts, and First Circuit Court of Appeals. Jim began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts, then became a commercial litigation associate at large law firms in Portland and Boston. Ross is a former prosecutor with extensive courtroom litigation experience. Ross has spent over 18 years in both Maine and Texas practicing as a criminal lawyer. Ross recently spent almost two years as an assistant district attorney in Kennebec/Somerset District Attorney's Office. During this time Ross was the prosecutor for sex crimes, domestic violence and arson for Somerset county. In addition, he shared prosecution duties for all other crimes in the county. I have handled a wide range of cases, from murder to traffic tickets and everything in between. I completed my undergraduate studies in philosophy and religion in 2005.
