During her education, she studied abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico. She also served as the Vice President of the Hispanic Law Society, and interned at the Immigrants’ and Language Rights Center at Indiana Legal Services, and in the legal department at the Julian Center, a women’s shelter in Indianapolis.
